Sharps safety boxes (normally made in cardboard) are used for the disposal of needles and syringes usually during immunisation campaigns.

The main idea is to be able to dispose of the whole device without any further manipulations.

Mission
-The box should be properly closed (sealed) once 3/4 full.
– It is often incinerated for removal.

COMMENTS
The box should be as impervious as possible to safely contain not only sharps, but also any residual liquids from syringes etc.
-Make sure that these containers are properly labelled.
– Ensure that the container is not easily opened once sealed..
